In 2015, David Huntington was promoted to President and COO for all BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina-owned TPA operations including TCC Benefits Administrator and Planned Administrators Inc. As President and COO of both TPA entities, David leads PAI Group, in all aspects of sales, marketing strategy, finance and operations for the combined companies. PAI Group is the leveraging of systems between TPAs enabling more customizable and cost effective solutions for our customers. Huntington is credited with “finding a way to make the business work and grow” and continues to adapt and find solutions that meet the changing needs of our clients. He is a veteran of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, joining the company in 1975.
Peggy Austin brings more than 20 years of industry experience to our company. Peggy oversees the entire operational side of TCC business, including claims processing, customer service, membership and medical review. She also is responsible for human resources, accounting and financial operations and facility management. Turnover at TCC is minimal. That’s a testament to Peggy’s ability to motivate and engage the claims and customer service teams. Her teams get to build strong personal relationships with their clients and teammates, which instills a higher standard of service across the board.
Assistant Vice President Information Systems
John Wallace is currently responsible for overseeing computer operations, telecommunications, and Web development. Since joining TCC, John has been the manager of Computer Operations and is currently the AVP of Information Systems. John has more than 15 years of health care operations and information technology experience.
Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Phil Ericksen is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. He leads marketing,
sales, business development, and client services. Phil arrived in Charleston in 1998, and
has an MBA from The Citadel. Phil brings over 30 years of experience in national and
regional health plan sales, self-funding group health, employer stop loss, strategic
marketing alliances, and new product development.
Rebecca is Executive Assistant to Phil Ericksen, and coordinates communications,
marketing, underwriting, compliance, licensing and contracts for TCC since February of
2008. Her background in Human Resources, Accounting and Office Management serves
her well in this role, as she typically manages several high priority projects simultaneously.
